About Silvagem
Our Megs In 1997 we purchased our first Irish Setter Porschet Barley Sugar. Megan came primarily from field trial lines and although not a show dog she gave me a good introduction to showing and trimming. Megan was a much loved member of the family who unfortunately died of cancer in 2007 2 months before her 10th birthday. She is very much still missed by us all.
In 1998 Rio (Glennara Cabriolet for Silvagem) was purchased from Katrina Hall and the show bug really bit. Rio was a slow starter but achieved firsts at Championship and Open Shows and gained his stud book number. In August of 2000 Katrina's Sh Ch Withersdale Dangerous Lady of Glennara had a litter to Sh Ch Kirkavagh Kalaglow JW and Cherri came home with us. Cherri was a delight to own and show and gained her Junior Warrant in style at the age of 15 months by going Best In Show at the Dorking & District Canine Society under an Italian Gundog Specialist. After a long wait Cherri and Rio finally made sparks fly and in November 2004 our special boy Solo came into our lives - and things have never been the same since! In 2006 Cherri had her second litter and our "Pearl" arrived
